The beach story

Bengal's last untouched beach

Bagda (Dublagadi) near Balasore — an offbeat, untouched beach within easy reach of Kolkata. No crowds, no hawkers. Only waves, sand and forest.

Come for a sunrise that rises straight out of the Bay of Bengal. Spend the morning tracking red crab colonies across wet sand, the afternoon asleep in a hammock under casuarinas, and the night under a Milky Way bright enough to cast shadows. On moonless nights the waves themselves glow blue. This is the Bengal coast as it was before the crowds — quiet, wild and entirely yours.
